  • Public Function: Very soon he joined the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, as municipal Legal Advisor, assuming the Head of the Department (1980-1986), until, also as Legal Advisor, he held the position of Head of the Law Department of the Official College of Architects of the Canary Islands (1986-2011), Demarcation of Gran Canaria, with provincial jurisdiction,.
  • Liberal practice of law: He made his role in the service of the Local and Corporate Administration compatible with the exercise of the profession of lawyer (since 1979), first, sharing an office with colleagues, in a partnership regime and, later, with own office, in association regime, with the name of ESTUDIO JURIDICO GARCÍA-CUYÁS, today a professional company with the same name, whose members all have family ties.
